NICE Guidelines - Musculoskeletal Pain and Adjunct Therapies

On Friday 22 October 2010, Nick Johnson and James Mutkin will be hosting a seminar which will use the recent NICE guidelines on lower back pain as a way to start discussion on better accessing GP referrals to your practice. The seminar will be hands on and you will be learning through case studies, research, and practical demonstrations. This workshop will broaden your understanding of treating pain and your clinical scope of practice.

This workshop is relevant to multibed practitioners as Nick and James are both steeped in this style of practice. Nick manages the Gateway clinic in London, and James works both in the NHS and runs an independent multibed clinic in Hertfordshire. You will have many opportunities to question Nick and James on their experiences of treating musculoskeletal conditions in a multibed setting.

Nick and James have kindly offered the discounted rate of £60 to ACMAC members.

Acupuncture is like noodles

World Medicine

ACMAC is very happy to be working in collaboration with World Medicine. Both our organisations share the basic aim of bringing acupuncture to as great a proportion of our national and international community, irrespective of income.

World Medicine is a registered charity and is seeking to raise funds via an Awareness Week 25 - 31 October 2010. During this week fellow complementary practitioners are invited to donate £2 from every treatment they give to World Medicine. If you are unable to volunteer on a World Medicine project personally, this is a fantastic way to use your skills to contribute to those in need.
